Weekly Screenshot Contest

Now Accepting Entries via the Steam Community Hub

We heard you when you said that you wanted to be able to take part in the contest without joining Discord. So, you can now enter by uploading your screenshots directly to the Modulus Community Hub.

Each week, we’ll post a pinned thread in the Discussions tab with that week’s theme and entry instructions. Make sure to title your screenshot as instructed to qualify.

Introduction

These Terms and Conditions (Terms) govern your participation in the Weekly Screenshot Contest (Contest), hosted by Happy Volcano BV (Organizer) in respect of the game Modulus (the Game).

By entering the Contest, you agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree, please refrain from participating.

Eligibility

  • The Contest is open to residents worldwide.
  • Participants must be 16 years of age or older at the time of entry.
  • Employees of the Organizer, affiliated companies, and influencers involved in the Contest, as well as their immediate family members, are not eligible to participate.

Entry Requirements

  • Participants must submit a screenshot from the free demo version of the Game to the #ScreenshotContest in the Game's official Discord server.
  • No purchase or payment is necessary to enter.
  • The screenshot cannot be altered from the image taken in-Game and cannot include any markings, notations, materials or assets from outside the Game.

Contest Period

  • Weekly Contests will run from 7 April 2025 until such date as determined by the Organizer at its sole discretion.
  • Each weekly Contest will run from 00:01 UTC Saturday of the relevant week until 12:00 UTC Thursday of the following week.

Winner selection

  • For each Weekly Contest, the Organizer will, at its sole discretion, select 3 to 5 screenshots from eligible entries (the Shortlist).
  • From 13:00UTC Thursday to 12:00UTC Friday for each Weekly Contest, members of the Discord community may vote on their favourite screenshot from the Shortlist.
  • At the end of the Contest Period for each Weekly Contest, the screenshot with the most votes will be the winner.
  • Winners will be notified via direct message on Discord. If a winner does not respond within 10 days, the Organizer reserves the right to select an alternative winner.
  • The Organizer's decision on the winners and awarding of prizes will be final and conclusive.

Prize

  • The winning screenshot will be used in the Game for one week.
  • The winner will also receive a key to the Steam PC version of a commercial release version of the Game.
  • Prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and cannot be redeemed for cash or any other form of compensation.
  • The Organizer reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value if necessary.
  • Prizes are subject to availability.

Merch Bundle Prize Draw

Starting from Week 6 of the Screenshot Contest, all weekly winners will be automatically entered into a draw to win a Modulus Merch Bundle when the game officially launches. All previous winners will be included in the draw.

  • What’s in the bundle?
    A collection of exclusive Modulus-themed goodies, including apparel and surprise items made just for our community.
  • How does it work?
    Each weekly win = 1 entry. Win more than once? You’ll get multiple entries in the draw.
  • When is the draw?
    The draw will take place at the time of Modulus' launch. Winners will be contacted via the method they used to enter (Discord or Steam).
  • Who’s eligible?
    Any Screenshot Contest winner, except those from regions where we are unable to legally or logistically ship physical prizes.

Regional Restrictions

Due to shipping or legal limitations, we are unable to accept prize claims from the following countries or territories:
Afghanistan, Belarus, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Russia, Sudan, Syria, Venezuela, or the Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk regions. Additional exclusions may apply based on shipping constraints.

Residents of these regions may still participate in the contest and be featured on official channels, but physical prizes cannot be awarded.
Please note that local tariffs/customs charges may apply.

Publicity

  • By entering the Contest, participants agree that the Organizer may use their Discord name and entry for promotional purposes relating to the Contest

Code of Conduct

Participants are expected to:
  • Follow the rules of the Contest as outlined in these Terms.
  • Comply with our Rules of Conduct. The Organizer and influencers reserve the right to disqualify any participant who violates these Terms or our Terms of Use.

Privacy and Data Protection

  • The Organizer will process personal data in accordance with its Privacy Policy.
  • By entering the Contest, you consent to the Organizer collecting and using your personal data for Contest-related purposes.

Liability

  • The Organizer is not liable for technical issues, disruptions, or interruptions caused by third-party platforms or participant equipment.
  • The Organizer may operate the Contest through third party social media platforms and our activities are in no way endorsed by or associated with such third parties.

Changes to the Contest

  • The Organizer reserves the right to modify or cancel the Contest at any time without prior notice.
  • If the Contest is canceled, participants will be notified, and no compensation will be provided.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Belgium.
